Founder and Managing Partner
Fekadu Petros
- Prominent legal consultant since 2011 specializing in corporate law, arbitration, finance and capital markets
- 22 years of overall experience spanning teaching and research in academia, managerial position in legal research institution and chamber of commerce and commodity exchange.
- LL.B Degree (AAU-2003), Masters’ Degree in Commercial Law (AAU-2006) and Masters’ Degree in International Dispute Settlement (Geneva University, Graduate Institute-2010) Served in various share companies as a board member, including Ethiopian Securities Exchange (since September 2023)
- Training Certificate on International Introduction to Securities & Investment from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI)
- Published a book on Ethiopian Company Law (in 2012, revised editions in 2015, and 2022) and a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals on company law, financial law and dispute resolution and a seminal locally and internationally.
Founder and Deputy Managing Partner
Yinebeb Derseh
A seasoned and passionate lawyer with more than 17 years’ experience in different positions and capacities, most of which are in a managerial positions. Yinebeb graduated in LL.B with distinction in 2008, and LL.M in Business Law with distinction in 2019. Yinebeb had been consulting, advising, educating and litigating from small to complex legal matters with a track record of success before joining Fekadu Petros & Partners in 2020. He also served the government of Ethiopia, Ministry of Justice as a core team member in drafting The Financial Services Code of Ethiopia.

Mamenie Endale
Mamen is a highly renowned expert in the field of banking, corporate law and commercial law. Currently, he holds position of Company Secretary at Tsedey Bank S.C., managing corporate governance, compliance, and legal risk, since 2022. Previously, he served as Legal Service Division Manager at Tsedey Bank S.C and Assistant Professor of Law at Bahir Dar UniversityMamen has LL.M in International Commercial Law (Groningen University, Netherlands), 2021; LL.M in Business & Corporate Law (Bahir Dar University, Ethiopia), 2017. And LL.B in Law (Wollo University, Ethiopia), 2014.He has also published works on corporate law, arbitration law, Tax law and CSOs (Civil Society Organizations) Laws. Senior Associate
Kalkidan Sewagegn
Kalkidan has experience in litigation, drafting legal documents and providing legal advice in various fields, including corporate and commercial law, taxation, expropriation, investment law and employment and labour law. She also advised and assisted several multinational companies in setting up a company in Ethiopia. Kalkidan received her BSc in Civil Engineering from Addis Ababa Institute of Technology and LL.B (with very great distinction) and LL.M in Business Law from Addis Ababa University School of Law scoring an Excellent Grade in her Thesis. Before joining FP&P LLP she worked as a legal expert in Grant Thornton Ethiopia Office, and subsequently in Global Bank Ethiopia as an attorney.

Dawit is a highly experienced legal professional with over five years as a Regional Court Judge and subsequent service as an Assistant Judge at the Federal Supreme Court, where he specialized in a broad spectrum of legal domains, including litigation, family, civil, commercial, criminal, and administrative law. His comprehensive understanding of the legal landscape is underpinned by an LLB from the University of Gondar. Currently, he is enriching his expertise through an LLM in Business Law at Addis Ababa University, merging practical judicial experience with advanced academic insights. His proficiency in legal research, thorough motion drafting, and compelling oral advocacy positions him as a strategic legal advisor. He excels at navigating complex legal matters, offering insightful guidance and solutions.
